She and her husband Jon have served at Countryside Covenant Church since 2006 with Lynn coming on staff in 2015. As Director for Adult Ministries, one of her favorite things to do is help people discern and discover how they are gifted by God to serve Him. She coordinates the Christian Formation of Adults at Countryside, teaches Precepts Bible Studies, and leads small group discipleship on a regular basis. Her newest challenge has been working alongside our gifted 55plus group “Crescendo” to help older adults grow in Jesus Christ and engage in His kingdom ministry. Lynn also serves as a Crescendo Coach for the Midwest Conference of the Evangelical Covenant Church, helping churches start and implement ministries to older adults in their contexts. Lynn and Jon have three grown children and a daughter-in-law.
Vision: The goal of Christian Formation is to help people grow deeper in both their faith and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As a result they will become mature self-feeders, engaged in life-long Biblical learning, and therefore capable of leading others to Christ and teaching them. To help them accomplish this, I highly encourage all adults at Countryside to participate in at least one teaching ministry outside of Sunday worship (Christian Formation class, discipleship, Bible Study, Life Groups, etc.) and to serve Jesus on a regular basis in ministry both inside and outside of the church. We grow best when we put our faith into action!
My spiritual gifts are leadership, administration, and teaching.
My interests include spending quality time with people, especially my family; the arts in all forms (we love to go to shows, concerts, and participate in them!); great coffee with interesting conversation; reading biographies and books on a wide variety of crazy topics; long walks outside; retreat speaking and worship leading, and almost any music!
Favorites include laughing with my husband, befriending my adult children, being a life-long learner, travel, a bit of HGTV, and spending time with people.
