Women Ministries exists to advance God’s kingdom through ministries that equip women to grow, serve, and reach out with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
In an effort to reach women of all ages and walks of life, opportunities are provided through various venues … Bible study, special events, retreats, discipleship, service projects and other gatherings.
We’re excited to announce the following studies being offered this fall and we’d love for you to be a part of one of them:
1) Tuesdays (Begins Sept. 12) at 6:45 p.m. The Family of Jesus. These are stories that changed history and we’ll be taken back to the time of early Jerusalem. A time when all of Israel was waiting for a remarkable change … the promised Messiah. Get to know the family closest to Jesus and the role they played in shaping history. This study meets at 601 Oxford. Contact Sharon Stinemetze at 620.241.6460 to let her know you plan to attend and to order materials.
2) Wednesdays (Begins Sept. 13) at 6:30 p.m. In Twelve Women of the Bible, you will learn about the triumphs and failures of Mary Magdalene, Rebekah, Hannah, and nine other women, learning how to apply biblical lessons to their own modern-day struggles, live through their failures as well as successes and draw closer to God in a world filled with trials. Sarah Elliott will facilitate this study in Room 19. Sign up today on your response card by writing “Women’s Wednesday Study.”
3) Thursdays (Begins Sept. 14) at 9:00 a.m. Join us as we study the book of James. James is a call to action, a put feet to faith kind of book. It’s a practical outline for Christian living, a challenge to do what you say you’ll do, an encouragement to be who God has already put in you to be. Lynn Black and Michelle Logback teaching in Room 20. Sign up in the Information Center or call the church office. Childcare by reservation.
MOMs Group meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month at 9:00 a.m. during the school calendar. Mothers from our community are invited as we grow together spiritually and relationally. In addition to a great “hot” breakfast, we enjoy learning together and sharing in care group time too.
