Bio: Jesus and music have been a part of Connor’s life as long as he can remember. His earliest memories revolve around Sunday morning worship, where the Spirit of Christ continually poured into him and whispered truths and convictions to his soul through the music of the service. He can remember the moment he asked his mom to sign him up for piano lessons at age 6, saying “I want to be just like our worship leader!” Oh how the Spirit moves and leads even the youngest of hearts! It was an up and down journey, but he finally committed himself to the call at the end of high school and the Lord has continued to grow him with talent and grace into the servant He desires Connor to be. May the Lord alone be glorified!
Connor graduated in May of 2017 from North Park University with a Bachelor of Music in Music in Worship degree. He has studied piano under Stephen Kelly and Dr. Thomas Jefferson, guitar under Bobby Broom and Anders Nordstrom, and voice under Dr. Chadley Ballentyne and Lorian Schwaber. He has served as a worship leader for the Navigators Campus Ministry at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, University Ministries at North Park University, 360 Life Church in Omaha, Nebraska, and Redeemer Church in Park Ridge, Illinois. He currently serves as the Worship Arts Director at Countryside Covenant Church.
Vision for the Worship Ministry: Our vision is that we would be a community of artists committed to glorifying the Triune God with both our talents and our lives. This includes growing in the grace and truth of our Savior Jesus Christ, growing in and stewarding well the gifts and talents the Lord has given to us, humbly providing spaces through our creativity for our brothers and sisters to encounter the Triune God, and reaching out to our community and other artists with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Hobbies and Interests: Creating music (duh!), playing sports, learning new things, cars and personal finance.
Spiritual Gifts: Service, Music, Leadership, Wisdom and Knowledge, Listening (not sure if it’s a spiritual gift, but it should be!)
Favorites: Laughing, solitude, Chili’s (unashamed!), being with close friends, Raisin’ Canes and long drives.
